The Energy Management Group (EMG) at the UCLA Anderson School of Management serves to strengthen educational pursuits, facilitate networking opportunities, and enhance recruiting efforts among Anderson students, alumni, and energy industry organizations.
The EMG provides a venue for students to learn, connect, and launch careers in the energy industry. Our functional interests lie in finance, strategy, marketing, technology development, and trading. We promote career development in all parts of the industry, and provide a formal channel for energy recruiting to take place at UCLA Anderson.

The mission of the EMG is to:
- Educate UCLA Anderson full-time MBA and fully-employed MBA students about the energy industry, including in oil and gas, renewables and alternatives, and energy-focused VC/PE firms, and to provide the resources necessary to pursue career opportunities in the energy industry.
- Partner with other professional clubs and organizations at UCLA and the greater Los Angeles area to bring energy-related speakers and events to campus.
- Build and maintain relationships with energy industry firms, and promote UCLA Anderson students as future leaders and executives in the energy industry.
- Create a strong formal network with industry professionals and UCLA Alumni in the energy industry for recruiting and future professional relationships.
